    Quick Question

    We filed Chapter 7 on 12/02/09. On last night, an officer brought by two summons(one for Beneficial and one for Capital One) for my husband. (They are dated 11/14/2009. The two laywers that have filed the suit were listed on the creditor matrix along with the companies when we filed. Are these two summons something now that he should just take to our lawyer? Is there something else we need to do other than taking them to the lawyer?

    Contact your attorney right away and provide a copy of each summons. Your attorney will contact each of the creditors again right away.

    This is a violation of the automatic stay so make sure your attorney knows immediately.

      Thank You. I have just emailed my lawyer(they are not quite in the office yet); but my husband will also be taking them to the lawyer in a couple of hours.
