I have stopped paying mortgage payments for my rental property and also stopped receiving a rent from tenant. (The attorney said it's an ethical issue, so I stopped collecting a rent)
However, the tenant wants to pay HOA to live there as long as possible to enjoy free rent. So he sent me a check for HOA (Several months). No HOA means no water in the unit, that's why the tenant wants to pay HOA.
In Schedule I, there is no rental income since I stopped collecting it.
Can I deposit this check for HOA even though the attorney didn't include any rental income in the schedule?
My disposal income is $-1,000/month though (yes, minus $1,000).
I heard that there would be no problem to get some additional incomes after filing bk. It would be great for me to get some from the tenant since HOA after filling won't be discharged. (It would be win-win for me and the tenant)
Would it be a problem in 341 meeting and my bk process?
