report of no distribution with order fixing deadline

    Hi Everyone,
I was looking at PACER- and the trustee filed his report of no distribution on 11/24 (day after 341).

On 11/25 he filed a report of no distribution combined with an order fixing deadline, stating that the last day for objections is 12/25. It says that if objections are not filed by this date they will proceed to close the case.

I thought the creditors had 60 days after the 341?

    Thoughts?

    Last Day for Objections: 1/22/2010
    Discharged: 1/28/2010

then it would still be 60 days from your 341. the trustee does not have the authority to turn the statutory 60 days to 30 days any more than he has authority to order you to jump off the roof in the report of no distribution. it would be funny if a clerk makes a mistake and discharges you before 60 days are up... someone on this board said he was discharged on day 54, so you never know!

The 30 day deadline is likely the "30 days to Object to the Exemptions"
