ready to file in a week and second mortgage came up for renewel

So is that going to mess up my filing? The bank says we can roll the second into our first but are we going to have to do that before I file now? I'm married but filing alone. My husband is not filing. We are in Michigan. We are definitely keeping our home and are current of first and second. While my name is on the mortgage,it is based on his income.

How will they "roll" your second into your first? Is it the same lender? Rolling the second into the first is a refinance. Do you qualify for a refi?

Yes it is with the same lender. I guess it would be called a refinance. My husband was told it won't be any problem as his credit is excellent and we've never been late with them.

I'm the only one filing and it's all cc debt I'm filing on.
