    60 days, then what?

    OK, I had my 341 on October 20th, last day for objections, etc. was December 19th. I have checked pacer the last two days ina row and no change. Case still says updated last on 10-21, the day after my 341. No new information has been submitted since. It still says "case open" under status. So now what? I thought after 60 days were up then I should see something change on pacer. Any help here, what am I waiting on now? My nerves are about shot, and I was fully expecting to see something on pacer to ease my mind.....not yet.

      it takes time for the court to enter the status. give it more time. maybe up to 7 days total. 14 max.

      maybe try calling the courthouse and asking if there were any delays added. maybe they can tell you if you are done and when they might update it.

        OK so my last day for objections was 12-6. My 341 was filed as closed 11-14 along with the trustee's no asset report. Nothing new in pacer since 11-30. When is my 60 days actually up? Am I done? Should I call the clerk? I am so confused. I hope I am done!

          pendarus, you have to wait 60 days after the day of the 341 meeting. since its been more then that plus some and still nothing reported then call the court or your attorney.

          but if nothing was updated since 12-6 then its a good sign that no one has complained. i do believe that if someone had complained then there would have been an update much sooner.

          probably nothing to worry about imo.

                  Am waiting for the 60 days now too. so glad all of this is over. I am really happy that when my attorney's aid asked me to consider chapter 13 I said "no way!" The chapter 7 will help me to get this behind me much faster.

                  One thing that has been aggravating me is my bank. They locked me out of paying my mortgage through instant payments online between my mortgage account and checking account. I had to send a check which I put in the mail Sunday and it didn't post till Saturday - a day late - same city!!!! - (will send it certified this month - jerks!)

                  I was in the bank and thought I would ask them why I had been locked out of instant payments and the lady explained that it was because of the chapter 7 and looked at me like I was the worst person in the world.

                  I guess in the banking industry they are trained to react that way. Because it would be better for them if I was drowning in credit card debt to never get out from under it and jeopoardizing my future with no savings or a foreclosure from a job loss or something.

                  I have learned you have to take care of yourself and do what's best in your interests and not worry what other people think. They are in debt too and the companies they work for do it all the time and nobody blinks an eye about it anymore - look at Trump and Kmart.

                  Also, a guy who was in front of me at the 341 was about my age (early thirties) and when asked about his occupation he told the trustee he was a credit counselor. What would he have told me if I had called him? See what I mean?

                  Sorry to rattle off - just trying to get this stuff out of my system.

                    I'm in the 60 day club as of 12/23/05. Pacer reflects, already, their is "no assets" and I'm just waiting for that 60 day mark to hit. (C'mon Feb 06!)

                    I'm not a lawyer or legal expert, just offering advice on what I may have gone through and/or have knowledge of. Good luck!

                          Well, first week of the 60 days went pretty fast...

                          Had 341 meeting 12/19, and just checked pacer today... nothing new...

                          Now just 53 more days to go!!

                              Hmmm..I don't know..I keep hearing my BIL say he's never seen a paycheck since he married my sister, but I don't see him packing to leave...

                              I give my paycheck to my bank, but only smile when I receive creditors demands Ipay them...Hmmmmmm...Ohhhhhh...I like my postion in this VERY much!

                                Hello everyone...this is my first post on this forum. My DH and I filed Oct 12th and had our 341 on Nov 29th. The meeting went very fast and without problems. I just recently dicovered this forum a few days ago and have learned so much. Our attorney is a shmutz....if it weren't for the new laws we would have filed Pro Se. We are on day 28 (knew NOTHING about the 60 day thing until reading this forum) and I checked the PACER site and our Trustee has entered "no assets". So I guess SO FAR things are looking ok?
