We filed today, so I'm going to assume it is too early, but how do I set up an account and about how much does it charge?

When should I set up an account? When I have my filing #? What will it tell me early on, or should I just wait until after my 341?

PACER is an acronym. (don't ask me) but it is all Federal Court cases. You are interested of course in BK.

You can go online and register with a credit or debit card. This is how we did this and I would not know how else. It is not expensive unless you go crazy trying to review every hour.

It costs 8 cents a page. It will have your docket run down, and your items in your file in pdf format. There are many "stickies" on PACER and I suggest you look for them or search PACER. They will not bill you if your account stays below ten bucks.

I would read, then rename the document and save to my hard drive to look back free. You have to put your last name in, and the last four digits of your SS number and your case will show.

I have a Pacer account that I signed up for in Sept. (discharged Oct. 6) I didn't use a debit or CC. Registered about a week later they mailed me a password & account#. They bill quarterly after you have $10.00. To date mine is around 8 bucks. Most of that came from early views of my case looking at everything I could. After that if you log in and just look at the status on the query page of your account it cost nothing. Okay I probably rang up a buck when my discharge was posted. Couldn't believe it was over and DAM IT LOOKED SO GOOD!
