On the Schedule B under personal property, the NOLO book and schedule lists animals. Are they referring to farm/livestock or do they need to know that I have three cats and a chinchilla?

I found this in the instructions for schedule A:
1) In the legal world, there are two kinds of property, "real property," which is real estate, and
"personal property," which is everything else; such as cash, car, clothes, books, furniture, dishes,
stocks, bonds, pets, etc. This Schedule A is only concerned with real property. Personal property
is covered by Schedule B.
So, I would assume that yes, that would be pets included.
Take a look at this thead, it also mentions pets: http://www.bkforum.com/blog.php?b=136

My lawyer said they are looking for expensive pets. I have a beta fighter fish that only cost $3.00............I didn't list it. I think that is getting kinda over the top to have to list one golfish. I have flies that feed off my garbage in the garage.......they seem like pets to me, but can't round them fast enough to count them to get a value. Just joking! But, my lawyer had us list only what had value or mattered, really. He said our exemptions would cover it all anyways.Last edited by Michigan1951; 11-19-2009, 07:26 PM.(first 341 10/14/09, cont'd 341 10/23/09) (12/14/09 last day to object) (341 Shows HELD w/tt report of no distribution 1/9/2010)

Lawyer listed my FOUR dachsunds, all of which are small, and with no papers, and no value. Put them all together and they eat as much per day as one big dog. And they are like my little girls (sentimentally speaking!)(first 341 10/14/09, cont'd 341 10/23/09) (12/14/09 last day to object) (341 Shows HELD w/tt report of no distribution 1/9/2010)
