I filed Ch7 day before trustee sale. Lender filed for relief from the stay, I objected, lender did not respond to objection, and no hearing date is set. Now lender is talking to me about modification on mortgage. I am a "no asset" case with a severely underwater home but only one mortgage. So the lender is telling me that it wants trustee's approval of the modification but trustee won't do it. I asked them if they wanted "reaffirmation" because HUD does not require that on FHA modifications. They said it is not reaffirmation so what are they looking for? Trustee wouldn't really say but she did hint that I would have to file a motion?
