questions regarding vehicle surrender, checking accts after BK

I filed CH7 a few weeks ago, and my 341 hearing is in 2 weeks. I plan on surrendering one of my cars financed with USAA. My car insurance is also via USAA, as well as my checking, and a CC that is part of the bk. I lost online access to my USAA accounts, which is terribly inconvenient. I have two questions.

1. I am buying an old car from my parents around the time of my 341. I'd like to park the car I want to surrender in my garage until they are ready to get it. Am I safe dropping insurance on that car? Can USAA do anything to me? It won't be driven after I get this other car, and it makes no sense to keep insurance on BOTH.

2. I'd like to open an account at a local CU so I can have online banking again. Will they open an account for me even though I'm in bk? I don't believe I'm in chex systems, but I don't know for sure.

We turned in our cars also and instead of them coming to get it, we took it to them and signed off on it. Canceled insurance that day. I wouldn't cancel if you still have the car.

Yeah don't cancel until its surrendered, if you want to cancel just call the lender and make arrangements to drop off vehicle it is a simple process

Although you are not driving the car and plan to have it parked in a garage until it is returned to them, keep insurance on it. Bad things still happen to vehicles we "think" are safe. (Fire, theft, damage, etc...)

I actually drove mine to the dealer and dropped it off. You might be able to do that as well.

Cool. I'd prefer to drop it off anyway, to avoid the awkward repo-scene in my neighborhood.
