I have no clue with state to state, etc. I am finding for my case that it is going to be how the trustee and UST sees it. If it can't be worked out it would go to the judge, maybe. I don't know yet. It's the gray area, and probably in all states too.

Your lawyer, if you have one, is the best person to guide you through this. I am glad I have a lawyer because of our exempt income for sure. I will keep my case uptodate so you can see how it plays out. I could be turned into an asset case yet, or even dismissed. No case is the same. We are all speculating as most by using other filers outcomes on this forum. I am so glad we all can talk opening though just to be able to talk about all this without a law degree. Mind you, there are lawyers on this site, and I respect their input more than you know though!!

Not sure. Might want to ask your lawyer in Texas, if you have one. My lawyer told me that I don't have any disposable income since mine is all exempted from the Means Test. But, after reading around the forum, I think Schedule J is the one that is in question like you said with you as well. So far nobody here is able to give me a straight answer to this either. No two cases are a like for sure.........But, I think one forum reader did tell me that there was a case where Social Security income can or should be or WAS not included in the Schedule J. This makes me go back and think again that it depends on our cases, state, Trustee, etc.

Good luck to you!! See ya around the forum!!
