Discharged, Not Closed, Rev Mrt Approval!!

I was discharged in Sept, but an asset case, so not yet closed. Bank of America gave final approval yesterday for my Reverse Mortgage. HOORAY!!! I am having to put in my IRAS (exempt) to make this work, but I will no longer have any mortgage payments and can easily live on social security and live in the home and property I love. I have no other debts and I plan to keep it that way. My only daughter has a great income so I don't need to worry about living too long and using up the equity in the house. :-)

We are/were in the same boat. Love our house (having to do major work on it, but fun) are just making it on SS and a small pension, but, WE ARE HAPPY. Bk (if not abused and the lesson well learned) can be WONDERFUL. 'Hub
