    Need a Pacer translator, please

Promised myself I'd never do it, but I just broke down and signed up for Pacer. Now I know why I shouldn't have. But, to make sure I got my 32-cents worth...

    1. What's the difference between "assets abandoned" and "assets exempt"? And should I care? My report of no distribution is showing an amount for "assets abandoned" that equals the amount added when schedule B was amended. "Assets exempt" shows the original, pre-amended asset amount. Is this just a computer thing?

    2. The "Claims scheduled to be discharged" amount includes my car loan. My original intent was to reaffirm. I now plan to ride through. Lender doesn't know it yet and no reaff papers have yet been received from the lender. Will the fact that the loan amount is included in the "Claims scheduled to be discharged" amount cause any problems?

    3. Case status shows as awaiting 341 (for 71 days). When will this change, or should it have changed already? Any potential problems if it stays this way?

Thanks very much for your help!

    1. yes, it's just a computer thing. you are a no asset case, and it makes no difference whether the stuff you have was exempt or abandoned. it gives the same result to you.

    2. what's included in claims scheduled to be discharged in the report of no distribution has no effect on what actually happens with the car.

    3. my cases status was "awaiting 341" until the day of discharge. it doesn't matter.

to summarize, everything is going perfectly

You are fine like me "Awaiting Discharge". I am 95 days in status right now in the OC. I'm hearing that it is taking more like 120 days here now. Courts are so backed up.

95 days and possibly another 25 to go? Yikes, 2manybills, I wouldn't have any fingernails left by now. On the bright side, though, your discharge is going to be one heck of a Christmas present!

Isn't that the truth. Even though I know that everything is in line, it would sure be nice to see that "Discharged" on our status! Patience is not one of my virtues!
