I'm halfway through getting things ready to file bankruptcy. Unfortunately it's slow going since I have cancer and don't feel well enough to do the work at times. My question is this: if God forbid I pass away before I file, can my family file on behalf of my estate?

Sorry for this phrase...but no, the debt dies with you.
If you were to die, your creditors could make claims to your decedent estate, and your estate would pay the creditors assuming the estate had assets.Comment
