I am going to file a CH 7 soon (next week). I have an account with Virginia Credit Union. The balance is around $1K. Could I reaffirm the debt with this company allowing me to keep their credit or will i be digging a hole paying a balance where they will not allow me to use the card? Lawyer told me forget the account, will be wiped out. I already called the company, said they work with people filing BK. Any advice?

anyways, that would be favoring one creditor over another in the trustee's eyes. Also, the trustee will ask you, to the best of your knowledge did you list all of your debts under oath.9/22/2009 - officially filed chapter 7
