How long is the awaiting closing timeline??

It officially feels like forever since we started this process. Filed in June, 341 meeting in July. I thought 61 days from that point we would be discharged beginning of September, nope affirmation hearing set for automobile in October.. That was taken care of whew. Now on pacer " awaiting closing " is our status. Does anyone know the timeline for this?

Thanks for any and all advice,

    P

Pattygg5, Closing can happen the same day as Discharge, or it can be months later as in our case, a year and almost three months. It depends on your case, whether you are an Asset case or not, and the workload of your district.

Hang in there. It WILL come!

      Closing Time

Unless there's something to clean up post-discharge, then discharge and closing usually occurr within a day or two of each other.

But now you've put that d!*n Mickey Gilley song in my head and I'll be hearing it for the next week.

      Closing Time

      (chorus)
The girls all get prettier at closing time
They all begin to look like movie stars
The girls all get prettier at closing time
When the change starts taking place
It puts a glow on every face
Of the falling angels of the back street bars

      (verse 1)
      If I could rate'em on a scale from 1 to 10
I'm lookin' for a 9 but 8 would slip right in
A few more drinks and I might slip to a 5 or even a 4
But when tomorrow morning comes, and I wake up with a number 1
I sware I'll never do it anymore

      (verse 2)
Now I don't mean to criticize the girls at all
Cause I know Robert Redford even overhauls
We all picture in our minds a girl that looks just right
Ain't it funny, ain't it strange, how a man's opinion changes
When he starts to face that lonely night
Pay no attention to anything I post. I graduated last in my class from a fly-by-night law school that no longer exists; I never studied or went to class; and I only post on internet forums when I'm too drunk to crawl away from the computer.

Just curious...if a mortgage lender files a Motion for Relief of Stay just days before your discharge, will it hold up the closing? I'm talking about a "no asset" case.
        Filed Non-Consumer Chapter 7: 07/31/2009
        341 Hearing: 09/03/2009
Last Day for Creditor's Objections: 11/02/2009
        Discharged! 11/03/2009 CLOSED! 01/05/2010

It should not. That is only paperwork in the legal way for foreclosure. 'Hub

I sure hope one of your clients isn't getting billed for this!
Well, I did. Every one of 'em. Mostly I remember the last one. The wild finish. A guy standing on a station platform in the rain with a comical look in his face because his insides have been kicked out. -Rick
