    creditors meeting

Just curious how many people have ever had any creditors show up at the creditors meetings?
Our meeting is not for another month but I am about to worry myself to death over our first meeting. I seriously don't know if I am going to make it until our first meeting with all of this anxiety I am feeling.
How did you all make it? I am just a complete basket case.
I know that everyone says it's nothing to worry about but it seems that there is always something to worry about in our case. Nothing ever seems to go smoothly.
In fact we just had some collection agency call today and tell us they were coming to pick up the equipment from our business (former). Of course we nor our attorney had rec'd any such notice so it was all a bunch of hooey but I suppose if we had just said okay come and get it they would have come and loaded it all up.

I had every single one of mine show up and grind me. How did you get the debt? Prove all income, etc. I was sweating and shaking! It lasted 45 minutes and was just terrible interrigating!
NOT! The meeting lasts all of 2 minutes and just basic questions are asked which are yes or no. Creditors very rarely show up. I mean RARELY! Possibly if they are local credit unions just confirming your reaffirming a debt but thats it. Don't sweat it cause in the end you'll wonder why you wasted all those sleepness nights over nothing.

OMG! I have my 341 in a few weeks and I was beginning to panic when I read the response! LOL. Our attorney said that it is not big deal, and to try not to worry. She said the trustee's here are doing 15 341's per HOUR!

Well as someone who was discharged today and had a really tough trustee, I can tell you that most people have absolutely no issues at their 341s. The only creditors that tend to show up are local CU's and disgruntled and/or crazy family members.

Do not worry until the night before your 341. Start enjoying the freedom and quiet that the automatic stay is providing you, and relax, the 341 will be over before you know it.

Our Trustee is know, well known as a real a$$. There were 3 including our attorney and due to the outrageous number of cases one of the Trustees has taken herself our of the ring until further notice.
So.... we automatically get the well known a$$. Our attorney was not thrilled but he has to work with him from now until further notice so he said we will have to play nice and make the best of it.
                GREAT!

Thats the problem here...my 341 IS tomorrow!!! Yikes...I'm nervous as heck!! The bad part is...I have an interview scheduled for tomorrow morning too!! I'm trying really hard to focus on the positive right now...Its been a huge relief the "quiet" that the automatic stay has given us....

What changes the night before the 341 hearing? Unless the next day is Friday the 13th and your trustee's name is Jason I don't see any reason to begin worrying.
Well, I did. Every one of 'em. Mostly I remember the last one. The wild finish. A guy standing on a station platform in the rain with a comical look in his face because his insides have been kicked out. -Rick

I didn't have a creditor attend; although, I witnessed one (ONE in a room with dozens of cases). The creditor was positioned at a table with the trustee, couple, and attorney. She was professional and initially somewhat stern. She asked questions regarding the nature of the debt, how it was used, if taxes were paid with it, if the couple wished to reaffirm, and the cause of BK (yes, I took notes! ). The couple experienced moments of pause and discomfort. The creditor softened and aided the couple by expounding her question. The couple answered most questions with a simple yes or no.

I know some worry needlessly about this possibility. If I had to answer the same questions as the aforementioned couple, they would not be difficult. I wasn't hiding anything and I had practiced "yes" and "no" in anticipation of my trustee's questions.

Not to appear sexist or anything but this must be quite difficult for most women to give such succinct answers!

YES, this was my attorney's biggest fear! (Clearly, my practice has paid off!).

                            hmmmmmmmmmmm.

My male trustee was the one blathering, not me. And my male substitute attorney was stuttering and weakly motioning to the petition he was waving around. I gave one word answers and only completed a sentence if not completing it would have lead to more questions.

I think everyone worries the night before their 341.

It's like worrying the night before a test or something.
