I have a mortgage with Chase/WAMU and we are keeping the house. We received a letter in the mail that if we had automatic payments coming out of our bank account that it would stop and call if we had any questions. I have biweekly payments that come out through Equity Accelerator. So I called and the first message after I put in all my info said, "I'm sorry we cannot handle your account...goodbye" click! Uh hello, I called the bankruptcy number listed on the letter! LOL Anyhow, I called back again and hit another series of numbers and got through. They said, "Oh you'll have to talk to Equity Accelerator. I'll transfer you." And when they transferred, once again I got the hangup message. Grrr. Ok so I call back again and tell them what happened and the guy tells me that there's nothing I can do but I can continue to make biweekly payments myself to them with no problem. Ok great.
So at the end of that story is this question. When the bk is discharged and closed will I be able to go back with the auto withdraw payments or will I have to pay on my own forever after this?
