I'm not getting any great answers out of my lawyer so I though maybe I could get some solid advice here.
I recently posted about a 14k back support payment I received. According to my lawyer it is still an asset and not exempt. I cant possibly file now.
My kid is turning 16 soon and I was hoping to use some of this to buy an extra car but I dont see how that is possible. I need to spend this money and in a way that won't be fraudulent but will possibly benefit me in the long run but I cant own anything of value either. This is ridiculous. How do I do this?
Or should I just wait another 6 months so the money is history?
