Discharged and Closed!!!!!!!!!

First, thank you to everyone on this forum. I posted a couple of questions and the responses where very helpful. I checked Pacer this morning and we were Discharged and Closed as of yesterday!!!!!!! It is trully a weight lifted off of my shoulders. We filed on 7/27/09, had our 341 meeting 9/14/09(original one for 8/27/09 was rescheduled due to change in Trustee) and discharged 11/3. Our BK has been very smooth, outside of AIG threatening to pull our Windows out of our home. Well we decided to walk away from the house since it is about $100000 upside down, so they can have the windows. We were never looked at by the UST even thoughwe had $500000 of secured debt and 250000 of unsecured debt, also I went back to work 2 months before filing and my income is way above the medium.

My recommendations are to make sure you get a lawyer who has a great paralegal assistant since that is who you mainly talk to. Ours was great and was always available to answer any questions I had. Second is not to stress over everything. I was out of work for a year and had taken huge cash advances on our credit cards to help us make ends meet. This never was even raised as an issue. I purchased a vehicle during this process and walked away from a car that was way upside down. My wife and I rented a great townhome in a gated community and are paying 1/2 of what I use to pay for my mortgage.
