Also, the timelines in question start with the "filing date."

For example, for chapter 7 to chapter 7 (eight years), the eight years begins at the "filing date" of the prior chapter 7 bankruptcy.

The eight year scenerio is incorrect when you say the waiting period is four years. I'm sure it was a typo.
