Parties to my Bankruptcy

On the PACER, it shows the parties to my bankruptcy are the following:

Myself, the Trustee and the UST. Is it normal for the UST to be a party to any bankrutpcy?

Does this mean he has an interest or is this standard or commonly shown on the pacer.

I filed chapter 7 "no assets".

This is common and is not a cause of worry. The UST does pick a case at random for an in-depth review or audit, but that ratio is something like 1 in 1000. That number is probably greatly increased by now.

That is normal, the basic parties to any BK are the debtor, BK Trustee, and U.S. Trustee.

I just looked at my parties, and was also worried that the UST showed up. Mine also lists a creditor! UGH. Recovery management Systems Corp. I have no idea what it is for, or if the will show up.

Recovery Management Systems is on mine, too. From what I read on a past thread, they handle things for GEMoneybank (in my case, JCPenney cc).

The way I understand it, they request notice of what's happening on the case just so that if it's dismissed, they can come after us. Otherwise, no problem.

That makes sense. We had debt with Lane Furniture and they use GE money bank.
