You will be discharged from the debt on the house but your ex will be responsible for it still.
The $15,000 could be a problem for you and the friend. The court will possibly go after the friend for the money and less likely the bank will file an AP against you. When did you do the balance transfer?Well, I did. Every one of 'em. Mostly I remember the last one. The wild finish. My first question for you would also be about the $15k balance transfer. How long ago did you do the balance transfer?
Schedule some free consults with some lawyers. Don't hide anything from your attorney because he's there for you. It was strange discussing my financial situation with a stranger, but it was much easier after that first consult.Stopped Payings CC's: 8/14/2009 | Retained Attorney: 9/23/2009 | Filed CH 7: 12/7/2009 | 341 Meeting: 1/21/2010 - Complete | Discharged: 4/9/2010
