Bank said they would take the keys back.

Just wanted to share with everyone, since I know many are in the same boat, that National City is taking over our house that was surrendered in the bk. Our 341 was about 4 weeks ago and we had already moved out...Our H/O ins. was paid through end of Oct. so I called National City just to see if they would consider a deed in lieu, etc. and they told me if we cleaned everything out over the weekend they would send us a mailer to send our keys in and go lock it up and take over.

Not sure how this relates to liability if anyone were to break in, get hurt and sue us, etc. but I am so happy they will cut the grass, etc. The costs turn into a lien on the property but it's included in our bk, so don't really care...

I know a lot of people are/were having the same confusion and questions about what happens to the house after you file...just wanted to share this -it may be worth the long annoying call to the bank where they bounce you from dept. to dept. I am so excited to be able to never have to go back to the old house and just move forward!
