Final Decree Case Closed

My friend received a Discharge of Debtor latter on 10/2/09. It says "It is ordered the debter is granted discharge under section 727 of title 11 ......."

Then we checked his credit reort. All debts are noted as "Included in Chapter 7", and ammount due was zero.

But two days ago we got a latter saying, Final Decree - "It is ordered that (Trustee Name) is discharged as trustee of the estate of the above named debtor; and chapter 7 case of the above named debtor is closed"

What is this latter? Please help us to understand this. Thank you.
