It's nothing big, but they don't know what your intent was. Another problem, maybe. We're married and I'm filing for myself only. 95% of the stuff in the house belongs to my spouse. Just wondering if that looks strange. It's been hard enough the last couple years. Don't need anymore problems. I'm not a cheat, but again, they don't know that.
If you need an appraisal on the wedding ring, go to a pawn shop and ask them how much they would give you for it.
Garage was a PITA to me, knowing how much tools cost to replace, etc. Remember garage sale prices.
Re: stuff belonging to your wife. They like to look at everythiing as equal. I told them that was not the way it was in our house. My wife paid some of the bills and I paid some and that was the way I was going to report it, because that is what my chekbook would supprot. We finally ended up filing jointly, so wasn't a problem. Just try to be able to support what you report.
Te wedding ring...forgot because of surgery...hmmm...might work with the Bk and the Mrs., but I wouldn't try that one on the mistress!!!
    Good luck, Art

      RE point #4

How on earth are you filing a debt that is not in your name? In addition youcan discharge utilities and they will probably ask for a reasonable amount as a deposit and re-open the account

My Ch. 7 has been discharged a couple of months ago. I'm thinking of re-opening it and filing a hardship claim on my student loans. Any thoughts on the success? I've been reading up on this, and what I've found out so far has been discouraging. Does anyone here know someone who's successful in the adversarial proceeding? Thanks.
