    Projected 2010 Federal Exemptions?

    Hi,

    I am looking to file early next year. I am wondering if anyone knows about how much the federal bankruptcy exemptions will go up in April of 2010. How can I find out? Is there a chance they could lower?

    No one will know until March. They could go either way or remain static.
    Well, I did. Every one of 'em. Mostly I remember the last one. The wild finish. A guy standing on a station platform in the rain with a comical look in his face because his insides have been kicked out. -Rick

      Does anyone know what they are using to decide? What kind of indicators will be used?

      Basically i have some nonexempt equity in a car and my house that i will have to buy back using funds from my parents/wife. Just need to decide if it would be better to wait until April 1 or no. If i find out they are going down, can i simply file March 30? Not sure how it works.
