quitting p/t job while going to file.

I have 2 part time jobs. One is 20 hours a week, and the other is waitressing 3 nights a week. I have done the waitressing for 5 years, and I am wanting to quit. It is sucking everything I have from me knowing I have to serve another long cold winter.
It is time to be home with my family more on those nights. I am missing school functions because I ALWAYS work friday nights. We can never do anything on SUndays because I have to be to work.

How will that look if I we are going to file in December? After we file BK, we will be able to make it just fine, without the extra income.
Should I wait it out? I am really ready to just be done with it.

    Thanks.
    Filing cpt.7 11/09 341- 1/21/10
    Report of no distribution 1/21/10
Scheduled for discharge 3/22/10 (on my 15th wedding anniversary!)

You'll be fine. I was working FT and making 3x what I making now (I quit that job) and now working PT approx. 25 hours a week, I thought the Trustee would question my job or force me to work at least FT, but not a peep was mentioned The look back is 6 months, so make sure fine with your higher wages reflecting that period.

you'll be fine. They can't make you keep a job you don't want to work.
I've seen people that said they quit high pay jobs right before filing and it wasn't mentioned. It's not really the trustee's business about what you do for work... Just make sure as the poster above said- that your income from the previous 6 months is ok with the extra income..
Otherwise- wait a few months for some to drop off, and then file.

      good luck!
