So I'm ready to give back a car that I did NOT reaffirm

Hmm... that's good news I guess. I am not sure how many days its been for me...but they have not called yet. They did say to give them 2-10 days... so I guess I'll wait till next week to start bugging them again.

When was the last payment you actually made?


I have my car with WDS and I still have the car. The last payment I made was the May payment and I was discharged in September and haven't heard anything from them.

I think my last payment was in January and I filed BK in February. Discharged in May.

Well, they just came and got my car. Two guys knocked on my door and they took my plates off and I gave them the keys and they drove it away. So that's that.

Nice car, 2005 Toyota Camry but I still owed 10,000 on with 3 more years of payments!
My last payment on it was the May payment, so it's been almost 6 months without a payment on it. Discharged 9/21.

Well I woke up today and my car is gone..... if they said they were going to call me to make an appointment, shouldn't they have done that? Is it normal for them to just come get it? I needed the plates off it... so now I'm a bit irritated.

Phew ok... crisis averted! I called the non emergency police number and they confirmed that Toyota towed the car. But what scumballs!!! They didn't call to make an appointment with me and they didn't give me back my fricken tags!

So, what do I do about DMV now that my tags were taken by Toyota? Will they return them to dmv? Can I request that they return them to me?

I just went on dmv's site and did the little "report your car as sold or traded" and put in the date that I removed it from my insurance... do I have to do anything else with DMV? Aside from tell them that toyota stole my tags? lol
