I just came out of my 341 meeting and the trustee asked for copies of the last 3 years tax returns. Is this something to worry about? It's not clear why the trustee would ask for several years.

Was this the Case TT or USTT? You are supposed to have given the last two years returns prior to the 341 anyway. By all means, give him what he wants and don't make an enemy.Filed Ch7 5/28/09 (Pro Se) Orlando, 341 7/01, UST selected case for audit 7/01, Last day for objection 8/31. Audit report filed 9/10, no material misstatements. Discharged and closed 9/22/2009

Providing prior years tax returns is SOP. Some trustees look back a little longer than others. I had to provide 4 yrs of returns of each year for both my personal and business tax return. Like frogger said:....give him what he wants!Filed CH 7 9/30/2008

I am not an attorney. None of my advice is legal advice in any way..

Thank you for the replies. I am going to give the TT the documents. It was just concerning because this person scolded me about the amount of money that was charged to my credit cards (some were for 10 year period and others were from 2006 to 2009, granted 2 were from 2008-2009), asked me about my expenses on Schedule J and then asked for the 3 years pursuant to the 541. I heard multiple times that it seems that I spend a lot of money.
Should I now be really worried given these details?

After I had initially filed I recieved a letter from my trustee stating what he needed. My attorney was cc'd on the letter as well. The trustee requested 2006, 2007 and 2008 tax returns and W2's. Luckily I had them all and just forwarded them on. I don't think it's any worries. Could just be a district thing.9/22/2009 - officially filed chapter 7
11/03/2009 - scheduled 341 - COMPLETED
01/04/2010 - last day for objections
01/11/2010 - DISCHARGED & CLOSED
