with a lawsuit from a creditor, not sure which one. I didnt answer the door to them, should I avoid them until I get filed or is it best to accept the papers? Also is there a way to check in the courthouse who it was trying to serve me. TIA

Don't think it really matters if they serve your or not as C7 will stop the proceedings. Personally, I would want to see exactly what the suit is about. Yep take the service and see who exactly is suing you to get their name and address right in your filing
