    Exemptions

I am not clear how the exemptions work for a CH 7. If your state allows say 4000 for household goods and 1000 for wedding jewelry and 2500 for tools of trade, can one than use the jewelry exemption to exempt something not in that category if say they don't have jewelry to exempt or is that then forfeited if you don't use it for the specific purpose?

    You will forfeit that exemption.

In most states, wedding rings are exempt. Can't imagine anyone going into a C7 with more than the exempted amount for household items. Suggest you value what the flea market/garage sale is vs what you think it is worth.
Filed Ch7 5/28/09 (Pro Se) Orlando, 341 7/01, UST selected case for audit 7/01, Last day for objection 8/31. Audit report filed 9/10, no material misstatements. Discharged and closed 9/22/2009
