341 Today

We had our 341 this morning. Thanks to everything I have learned on this forum, I wasn't nervous one bit! I was calm the entire time. We got to the court house about 45 minutes early. The 8:30 session was called into the trustee's "room". The rest of us had to wait in the waiting room. Our attorney showed up about 8:45 and asked if we had any questions, which we did not. At promptly 9:00 the trustee opened the door and called in the 9:00 session, which was us and about 5 other couples. The trustee explained his role in the process then took "roll call" to see who was there. Then he started calling up the couples...and wouldn't you know it, we were the first to be called. He swore us in. Took our licenses and ss cards. Asked us about a dozen questions and said, "okay, thats it, you are free to leave." There wasn't 1 creditor there for any couple we saw (both in the 8:30 session and our 9:00 session). Couldn't have gone any smoother. So now we are in the 60 day club...waiting...patiently. I asked attorney in the hall way when we should expect to receive any reaffirmation papers. He said he usually has them by the 341 meetings so we are hoping we don't get any and we can do a ride thru on the house and cars. But I of course, we have the 60 days to wait so I am sure we will get them on the cars (we plan on surrendering 1 and keeping 1). All in all it went as great as we could have hoped for.

Aw...thanks for the congrats! Now lets just hope the next 60 days goes by just as smooth and quick! I am hoping Santa brings me the best present ever this year....A DISCHARGE!
