What happens when you pay in installments

I am requesting to pay in installments of 2 payments. What happens with my filing during that time? I am requesting to pay $150 when I file and the other $149 30 days later.

Why don't you just wait the 30 days to file and do it all at once?

      I need to file

Because sure enough something will come up and eat up that money, If I don't have it I can't spend it.

I am not sure what you are asking. Are you filing pro-se? Are you paying your attorney in installments?
You can't take a picture of this. It's already gone. ~~Nate, Six Feet Under

Have you filed already or just looking for information? I believe your best answer will be to call the Clerk of Court and for sure you will get a straight answer.

I filed pro se doing installments. Nothing different is done with your filing. It is still considered filed on the initial date you file and pay your first installment. The court will approve your installment plan and then you mail or take the next payment when it is due. It will not affect the discharge timing or date.
Filed Ch. 7 Pro Se: 12/11/08
            341 Meeting: 1/7/09
Trustee's Report of No Distribution: 1/9/09
            Discharged: 3/10/09
