What to bring to a 341 meeting?

Usually, I guess, your trustee tells you what they want you to bring, depends on details of your case and your filings... I have not heard anything yet from the trustee and my meeting is about a week away, so I want to get all my files ready... checklist?

I know everyone must have photo ID (Drivers licence...) and evidence of Social Security Number.

Some people are asked for things like bank statements (6 mos?), vehicle title and registration, evidence of insurance... W2, paystubs (how far back?), tax returns (1 or 2 years, sometimes more?) ... will an IRS "transcript" suffice in lieu of tax returns?

I have not owned any real estate in the past 6 years.

What did your trustee (or attorney) want you to have on hand at the 341 meeting
, from you (or from others you observed) on your meeting-day? Were you asked to submit anything else, before or after the 341 meeting?

i beleive the transcripts would suffice. in fact its better then your own returns because its a brief of your returns plus what the irs says your returns should have been.

i didnt have to submit any returns. just auto registration, 1 month copies of my accounts and paycheck stub. nothing else. all that was sent to the trustee by the attorney.

i reccomend never bringing anything that the attorney doesnt have a copy of to the 341 meeting. i wasnt asked to bring anything. just driver license and proof of SS #.

if you havent gone to 341 meetings already then go. trust me, its the best thing out of this whole event lol. its the 60 days afterward and waiting for the very last day when the UST will, if at all, sumbit a motion to dismiss.

Yes, it was reassuring to observe a dozen 341 meetings and see what my trustee was like. Two out of twelve did not show up! The attorneys were there, and they got continuances. I guess some trustees are more fair and understanding than others... each meeting was over in 5 minutes or less.
