    Should I get married bef.filing Ch.7?

I'm new to the forum and was wondering if anyone can help me...I need to file Ch.7 and my first question is, can I do it properly(and cheaper) without an attny? Secondly, should I wait to get married in WA. state until after I file or does it make a difference since he has nothing to do with the debts I incurred?
    Thanks!

Do you know you can file chapter 7 first of all.
And yes, you can do it without an attorney. I think the filing fees are a total of $215 if I remember right. Our attorney charged us $1500 for the whole package.
I would not want to make a mistake filing myself (pro se) only to have it dismissed.
Getting married? I don't know if it makes a difference if you two have never applied for joint credit.

File before you marry. Unless he makes nothing, you do not want your "totality of circumstances" coming into play when you file. Of course, if you live together now that is kind of a mute point, since what he contributes to the mortgage/rent and other living expenses with be deducted from your expenses/counted in your income.

My fiance and I are getting married next year. I am for now still on the lease for another apartment.
