How long after filing does it normally take before they let you know when your meeting is going to be. Most I've read shows that the meeting happens pretty quickly, like within a few weeks, but then I also see people that are waiting weeks and haven't gotten a notification about the date. Do they give you some kind of decent notice or is it like, "Be here this Friday", type of thing?

We got our notice within a week or so and had plenty of time to prepare, not much to prepare though if you have an attorney, we sent everything to him and he made sure he brought it with him to the 341 the only thing we took was our ss card and driver's license. Check pacer it will most likely let you know things even before the attorney knows. Unless your attorney checks pacer alot. I knew things before the attorney did in most cases.Filed Chapter 7 June 4 ~ 341 July 20 ~Last day of objections Sept 18~Discharged/Closed Sept 21

I used the freecourtdockets site that was talked about on here a while ago (not all good talk). My attorney filed for us sometime after our meeting in his office that ended at 5pm Sept 30th. When I went to work later that evening ~630pm ( I was able to see that our 341 was scheduled for Nov 9. My attorney also sent the notification to us via email. Seems it was almost immediate.9/30/09 * Filed Ch7
