How long before they repo your car ?

The good news is that I have been discharged. The bad news is that I needed my car so I am still making the hefty payments. How many missed payments usually occur before the repo guys come lurking in the night ?

who is it financed with? Are you behind on the payments? If so, then I would guess it prob won't be long before they come get it.

Mazda American Credit......currently one month behind.

My last loan payment was in August and my SUV was repoed in January.

We are always 30 days behind on our loan and we just get 2 reminder letters. We were once 90 days past due and they said it had to be 120 days past due before they could come and get it.

I know every state is different. We looked at buying a car in Illinois and the interest rates were lower because they could repossess your car if you were a week late.
