we have a small business, lets say taking photos at weddings. It is always claimed as a schedule c under our personal taxes. Not an LLC, or INC. or anything like that, just when people need us.
We have a seperate checking acct. under the business name, so people don't have to write a check to us personally, but some do anyway.
We spoke to our lawyer about how to prove this income, it is obvious we claimed it on our 07 and 08 taxes, but we don't have reciepts, or w-2 or anything like that.
The only proof of what we've made is our word, basically.
She said a signed letter and our sworn statement is all we'll need for proof of money weve made in the 6 month lookback period.
Even with that, we are well below the means test, I'm just curious if thats actually all we'll have to do to prove the income?
