    It's over!

    Filed on 6/10, 341 done on 7/18, discharged on 9/21. Just got the discharge paper in the mail today.

    Filed on $25,000 worth of debt, keeping my house but giving up my car.

    Kind of bittersweet because I'll have to surrender by car and I will be without transportation. Sounded ok when I started this process but hard to think about putting it into practice. Last car payment I made was the May payment, so going on 5 months.

        May 21, 2009 Retained 2nd Attorney
        May 28th - Filed for Ch 7 (FINALLY!)

                I work from home and only have to go into the office once a week. Luckily, it's on the bus line. I live in a neighborhood with a lot of stores and resturants within walking distance.

                      I have a $2,400.00 car that has last 2 years and is still going strong. Save up your money for a used car and do your research on them, you will have no car payments and good transportation. Mine is a 95 Geo Prism, really a Toyota Corrola mechanically. They no longer make them, but there are many used ones available at good prices.

                      Oh, and CONGRATULATIONS!
