I have been a member of a credit union for a few years now. I mainly used them to get really good rates on auto loans, with really long terms, and really high loan to values. I guess it's because of relaxed policies that I am $9k upside down. I knew I shouldn't have gotten a 6 year loan at 110% loan to value (they go to 125% I think). But all that's another story.
I want to continue to be a member of a credit union but I obviously won't show my face at my current credit union after I bk the car. I know most credit unions are connected some how. I can make a deposit at many many other credit unions and it goes into my account at my credit union.
My question is will I have a problem becoming a member after filing bk? Should I sign up with a new one now? Could they give me a problem down the road?
