Just curious how long it took for you all to get a letter from the trustee after you filed stating what he needed?

I don't think you get a letter. We didn't and check PACER. Look at the flags. Meansno is good and if you are listed as non-asset that is good. In other words, "no news is good news".

lawyer says we will be getting a letter stating who our trustee is and our 341 date. It will also contain items the trustee wants us to bring to our 341....Filed C7 9-14-09

Have no clue since we didn't hear from the trustee at all. We gave everything to our attorney and he handled it from there (that's why we paid him the big bucks!).Filed 8/2009

If you get a letter, it is from your lawyer. He could get this info from PACER as your Trustee is picked at random and he would not know. I believe PACER looks at case load and the lightest is next in line. He could have told you the date he filed. He did file didn't he??? Are you in NOrthern Ohio? We are and got the letter about a week after atty told us the date of the 341. So far everything seems to be going okay for us. 9/24 is 30 days since the 341. Hope that helps.Comment

We got something from the bankruptcy court shortly after filing. It looks more like a document and has the rules for creditors on it and the date of the 341, time, and what is required, usually just ID and SSN. It's just a one page template type thing. Pur trustee sent a letter and asked us to send in the papres to him pretty much what teh attornrey had but he wanted it from us. Our Atty said there are 7 trustees for Northern Ohio and 4 of them (one being our own attorney)do this. We of course got the one of the 3 who did this. Roll of the dice luck of the draw.Comment

I got the same thing as "kingxray", a one page template-type paper stating my 341 time, date and address along with what to bring. I got mine about 1-2 weeks AFTER I filed.May 2008 Hired 1st Attorney/Stopped paying CCs
May 21, 2009 Retained 2nd Attorney
May 28th - Filed for Ch 7 (FINALLY!)
9/11/09 - DISCHARGED!!!!
