If your cc's are with BOA and your bank account is also with BOA, move your bank account. They will offset any debt you have with them by withdrawing funds from your bank account. Search the threads here for "the right of setoff". You do not want to risk your bank account funds.

we have opened a different account with another bank. Now we are just waiting for our direct deposits to start at the new bank so we can close out the bofA ones. Has anyone had to move direct deposite of a military retirement ?? I wonder how long that will take.
