Surrendering house/turning in keys???

Hi,

We surrendered our home in our chapter 7, but we are wondering what to do with keys to the home, garage door opener, etc.. Even though we no longer will have the home, the thought of someone having to break in to enter doesn't sound right when we have things to unlock it.. Any information on who to contact??

We bought a nearly new forclosure last year and the previous owners were thoughtful enough to leave the opener and some keys in a kitchen drawer. I think I would just put them in an envelope and leave with a neighbor and also leave a note posted to a cabinet.

Why don't you contact the lender and ask them?

I always thought the lender leaves a realtor to look after the property?
I mean, if the Sheriff was not involved then did they not appoint a caretaker?
