Paperwork is dropped off!

I can't believe it! After close to 6 weeks of gathering paperwork, its finally done! Yesterday, we went down to Kinko's and made $30 worth of copies and this morning, I dropped off the whole thing at the attorney's office.

He was pretty surprised by how organized I made everything. I put each item into manilla folders and he seemed to really appreciate it, and given his surprise, I'm assuming most of his clients don't organize the way I did.

But, I'm glad its all in his hands now! He said he should be done with everything before the end of the month, and we'll be filed!

Wow! Another step done! We're on our way!

I too just dropped my paperwork off last Friday and I hope I got everything! I wasn't as organized as that, but I think I got it all. Keeping my fingers crossed that it will all get reviewed quickly! Does anyone know when you have "officially filed?"

congrats on getting all that paperwork in. I think it is a major undertaking to gather everything and get it it.

Now that it is with the lawyer, you will get it back in a copy of your filing. Please look this document over with an "eagle eye" before you sign it.

I, too, dropped off the paperwork to our BK Attorney on Sept. 2nd. The Paralegal was impressed with the order of all the paperwork.

We have a 2 hr. appointment Sept. 24th (this Thurs.) to finalize everything for a 9/30/09 Chapter 7 Filing. I just hope I didn't miss something. Over the weekend we got two additional Collection Agency letters. I put a Cover Letter with the 2 CA letters & faxed it to his office first thing Monday morning.

Gee, we met with our BK Attorney last Sept. I will be so glad when this is all over with. The emotional side has caused additional Pain for me & I up to the Max on the amount of Pain Meds I can take.
