So it's my turn, my 341 meeting is on Tuesday and I can't stop thinking about it. I have been a lurker here but am not much of a poster as you can see. I had my prep call with my lawyer and she asked me a bunch of quesitons from my petition, of course the one that I get wrong is the last two places that I lived...I skipped one place that I lived. She has told me from the beginning that I have a simple no asset case and I konw she is right but until it's over I won't believe it. I think part of the problem lies with the fact that after I filed DH got a new job and I'm in the process of moving but not completely yet and I feel like that is going to confuse me...LOL. The good thing is that she said the trustee that I have is a really nice guy and that I should get there 30 minutes early to see a few cases so that I feel more comfortable...wish me luck!

Good luck and relax. My attorney met with me for 5 minutes before I went in to watch (which helped!); he was filing 4 cases in my time slot. I was so nervous and could barely speak up. My trustee asked basic BK questions and like most, I was over in 5 minutes..although it felt like an hour. -

I know everybody will tell you not to worry, but it's natural to do so. I made sure to keep myself busy in the days leading up our 341 hearing and refused to worry about it when it popped in my head. I so wanted to get it over with, I was excited when the day finally came. Ours is not a simple bankruptcy. It is a non-consumer Chapter 7 due to a business failure. We have 5 up-side down properties and a large amount of unsecured debt (mostly related to the business). I anticipated a lot of questions. We were asked more than the standard questons but all in all, it couldn't of lasted more than 10 minutes. Thanks to our fabulous attorney, our petition was complete which minimized questions from the Trustee. We just answered the questions truthfully. Our 341 was 2 weeks ago and it still hasn't sunk in how painless it was.
So...don't worry needlessly. In a matter of minutes it will be over and you will be celebrating new beginnings!Filed Non-Consumer Chapter 7: 07/31/2009

I think what I have to remember is to answer yes or no answers...when I'm nervous I tend to be chatty...maybe I should take 1/2 of my anxiety meds before I go to calm me down...LOLComment
