Today was the big day for me. I arrived at my meeting about 40 minutes before the schedule time. I was dressed in a shirt and tie with slacks. I am glad I brought my mp3 player with me for I can jam to a few songs before my lawyer arrived.
The place was very busy with 5 trustees doing their business. Each trustee handles about 6 cases per 30 minutes. My lawyer did not know the trustee who was handling my case but he saw no problems with that or my case.
The trustee was ahead of schedule and started to hear the cases that were in my half hour time slot. I listened to her questions to the other debtors and found that people made mistakes in their applications which raised some questions that she addressed. Also some debtors could have answered a simple yes or no but tried to explain more (some said yea-which I think the trustee didn't like). As a result, I think the trustee asked more questions to them.
Than it was my turn and I felt calm. The questions were very basic and all I had to say was either yes or no. I was done in 90 seconds!!!! The trustee said I was all done! I said thank you and left the room right away with a big smile on my face.
I am in the 60 day club now. I wish everyone well.
