Questionnaire for trustee

We have a questionnaire for the trustee that we need to answer some questions on and send it with our paper work to our lawyer for filing.

I have a question that maybe someone here will know. I have sent an email to my lawyer asking the same question yesterday but have not heard back from them yet.

The question on the form is:
Have you owned, sold, or transferred any real estate property during the last ten years? if yes, when?

My question is we just lost our home to foreclosure in June is that considered an transfer?

I believe the answer would be yes because it has have you owned any property in the last 10 years... so, you did own that home prior to June.

I would just say yes, maybe put your purchase date and then note that you lost the home to foreclosure in June.

I had to fill out a similar form.

That's what I thought at first but then started to over think and wondered since we did not have the deed (due to mortgage on property) was it really considered owned.

I guess I am worried about making a mistake to where I am over thinking things.
