    Professional Courtesy. The U.S. Trustee's office appreciates an attorney who "knows" the laws, local customs and procedures, and works with the UST. I've seen this myself. I've overheard them talking and it's like "I trust that you put the right thing on the form". Done!

      I agree, my Trustee had no patience with the attorneys that weren't prepared. With my case being over the median AND having "some issues" that would invite the UST, I was a little worried but my attorney said that the important thing is to make my petition look "normal", nothing out of the ordinary to pass the trustee's desk...I guess it worked. He made sure everything was in order.
      May 2008 Hired 1st Attorney/Stopped paying CCs
      May 21, 2009 Retained 2nd Attorney
      May 28th - Filed for Ch 7 (FINALLY!)
      9/11/09 - DISCHARGED!!!!

        I totally agree. My boss has been practicing law for 35 years (civil) and he's so respected. It makes a difference. It works the same with BK cases. Actually, when we were at our 341 I was totally irritated by that mill attorney that took advantage of people. The TT was not happy with them or her.

        Documents need to be to the point, short and fly as low under the radar as possible.
