    Discharge papers question

When you receive your discharge papers in the mail, does it also include any paper work for things NOT discharged, ie.. student loands, taxes?? My atty included a 10 year old student loan and I know from everything I've read that will not be discharged and I'm guessing the paperwork will reflect that?

    any info always appreciated,

I got discharged and closed 2 weeks ago. Other than both of those papers coming from the court, I haven't gotten SQUAT from my lawyer. I am running on the assumption that if it was on the Ch7, it was discharged. The court papers didn't say anything about specific debts. My only non-dischargeable debt was taxes- and they were listed as "priority" debt on the BK petition. I knew they speficially weren't discharged- just like your student loan, but it would be nice to know for sure. Can anyone else respond with their experience?
    4/27/09- 6 judgements, 2 liens, 3 bank levys later ... 2nd lawyer visit. 5/4/09- Paperwork done. 5/14/09 signed, filed Ch7. 6/23/09 - 341 meeting DONE!
    8/25/09 - Discharged! 8/27/09- Closed!!!

No, I don't believe you are going to get a primer on what was or is not discharged. Seems like these lawyers ass-u-me that we all know everything before-hand. Student loans are not generally nondischargeable. Part of IRS is but rarely. Some of the penalties and interests. Some SOL. You will have to be most insistent with your liar, err lawyer to ask him what is up. He (prodded hard enough) should at least answer that question. 'Hub
If I knew it all, would I be here?? Hang in there = Retained attorney 8-06, Filed 12-28-07, Discharge 8-13-08, Finally CLOSED 11-3-09, 3-31-10 AP Dismissed, Informed by incompetent lawyer of CLOSED status, October 14, 2010.
