Thanks everyone. This forum was, in large part, the cold water in the face that made me realize we had to file. DH resisted a bit but once the CC companies tripled our "locked in" interest rates, he saw there was no other way out.
I have never been a part of such a supportive, compassionate and knowledgeable community...online or IRL.
This forum truly is what community is about.
